Fiat soft tops made of Sonnenland fabric
The most commonly used material for Fiat convertible hoods is Sonnenland fabric . The special hood fabric consists of three layers.
The top and bottom layers are synthetic or cotton and the middle layer is made of rubber. The rubber layer ensures that water cannot penetrate the interior of the convertible top . A waterproofing agent is therefore not required.
However, it can still make sense to waterproof the soft top fabric of your Fiat. Especially if the convertible is often parked outside. This means that the rain, which can be dirty, beads off and doesn't get stuck in the fibers.
In addition to black, there are many different colors to choose from.
The alternative: Fiat hood made of PVC material
The cheaper PVC/vinyl material was available as the original hood for many convertibles.
Nevertheless, we tend to advise against the material as the quality has declined in recent years and the material is practically never used in the original model.
The main reason for this is that many of the plasticizers used at the time are no longer permitted and therefore may not be used. The material is therefore somewhat harder than it used to be and becomes brittle and cracked more quickly.
The color selection is somewhat more limited compared to the Sonnenland canvas. Approximately 80% of customers opt for the black version.

We also have the convertible top for the Fiat Punto or for older vehicles such as the Fiat 850, 1100, 1200 and 1500 (Spider) in our program. Please always note the corresponding year of manufacture of the vehicle.
Installation of the Fiat hood
In addition to our production building, we also have our own trim shop where we can install the convertible top for your vehicle.
We will happily calculate the installation costs for your vehicle's convertible roof . We can also provide you with a replacement vehicle free of charge while your convertible is with us for installation.
If we are unable to accommodate your chosen date for your convertible top, we will still find a solution.
