Peugeot 306 convertible hood made of Sonnenland material
For the convertible roof of the Peugeot 306 cabriolet, we use original Sonnenland A5 materials. We believe that the topping material is the highest quality on the market. The top and bottom layers of the three-layer material are synthetic. The middle layer is made of rubber and ensures that the cabriolet is 100% waterproof.
A waterproofing agent is therefore not required. However, for convertibles that are outside most or all of the time or for daily drivers subject to frequent rainfall, it can be worth applying a waterproofing agent. This prevents the rain, which quickly becomes dirty, from penetrating the fabric of the Peugeot 306 hood and the water droplets simply run off.
The Sonnenland hood is available for the Peugeot 306 cabriolet in the following colors: black, blue, brown, dark green, graffiti gray, cream, indigo, pink and red.

Special features of the Peugeot 306 convertible hood
We manufacture our hoods as true to the original as possible. If there are any weaknesses in a convertible top, we attempt to find a solution to make it better.
All the original rubber bands from Peugeot are fitted. These ensure that the Peugeot 306 cabrio hood is seated optimally in its compartment with no rubbing and that it does not get jammed in the (electric) frame of the vehicle.
For easy assembly, the installation lines at the front and rear are marked above the windscreen and window.
The convertible roof is supplied with a slightly green-tinted rear window (as in the Peugeot original). On request, we can stitch this window as a clear pane.
The fitting for the bar above the rear window of the Peugeot 306 is integrated. The bar is taken from the old hood.

The PVC window in the original hood is fitted with a zipper so that you can purchase it as a spare part and replace it.
However, in most cases this is no longer possible and it can lead to many problems. For this reason, we supply our Peugeot 306 soft-top with a permanently stitched rear window.
The following are the reasons for opting for a permanently stitched Peugeot 306 cabriolet rear window.
If your current hood is older than 5-6 years, the zipper of the old top has most likely become misshapen , so that the new zipper pane from Peugeot will no longer fit properly into the hood.
The zipper must be sealed with adhesive and fixed in the frame using electricity. This is the only way to ensure that the zipper is reliably sealed. The frame is only available from Peugeot and we are not aware of any Peugeot dealer who still stocks this equipment.
The replacement window is also only available from Peugeot and the window itself costs roughly the same as an entire hood.
Having the rear window permanently stitched is one of the reasons why we can supply our soft-top for a competitive price.
If the rear window in your convertible is defective, then the fabric is typically no longer in top condition. It is very difficult to determine whether the middle rubber layer has cracks. But a hood is a wearing part. Depending on its use, it is normally due for replacement after 10-20 years.
Headliner for the Peugeot 306 convertible

For the period that your convertible is in our workshop for the installation, we offer you a replacement vehicle free of charge.
